Roots Messenger Dubplate Studio in Hamburg, Germany, is one active spot,
when it comes to Dubplate-Business during the first decade of the 21st century.
We had artists and more artists, far too many to mention them all, walking in
and out of the place since 2001,
vitalizing the northern german music and soundsystem scene.
From the first guests,
like Errol Bellot and Chanter,
Lutan Fyah and Spectacular
to some of reggae’s greatest artists like
U ROY, GREGORY ISAACS, SUGAR MINOTT,
DON CARLOS, MAX ROMEO, JIMMY RILEY,
JAH B, AL CAMPBELl, U BROWN,
RANKING JOE, LUCIANO, MORGAN HERITAGE,
ANDREW TOSH, LLOYD PARKS, TOOTS HIBBERT and LEROY GIBBONS
I would personally like to thank one and all for the encouragement and dedication!
Thanks to all supporters, all soundsystems and tourpromoters!
And a special shoutout to my personal musical godfather KENNY KULCHA from
King Original Sound out of London, United Kingdom,
who taught me music business and
its relation to ethics and morality, who foresaw the busy years on Market Street 38 and
has been instrumental in the design of the structures ever since!
He tragically passed away on January 4th 2010 in Ghana, Mama Africa.
